Hooked on Phonics

Ok, I know I posted this a few days ago.... I was trying to save it for today but I just couldn't. So, if you read it already... sorry. If not... enjoy my silly little boy.

practicing sounding out a word R-U-G
"rrrr uh g , rrrr uh g...."
After a few times saying each letter sound I had him say it all together and faster so he could here the word. He did this a few times and I wasn't sure that he was catching on. I asked him if he could hear the word in the sounds he was making "R-U-G" He paused, repeated his letter sounds "Oh Carpet!" :)
