Do I laugh? Do I cry? Do I beat the 2 year old that broke it? Do I scream because while picking up the broken pieces one fell between the counter and the fridge?
Do you want to know how my little 2 year old broke the platter?
She was getting a loaf of bread...
...to hit her brother with.
The dish came down with the bread.
It's been a long day.

Oh my! This cracked me up, a loaf of bread huh?! Isn't having a little girl after 2 boys fun?!?! They think they can do whatever the boys can, and better! It sounds like Hannah has the same attitude as Caiyah, "No thanks mom, I don't need you to defend me, I can take 'em myself" Sorry about the broken platter.:(
One of my friends had this happen. only it was her breaking her sister's platter (or something like it). Her sister ended up using the broken pieces to make a "collage" table top. It was really pretty and really spoke of the redemptive nature of God. (she brought it in as a visual aid during her testimony during one of our ladies retreats).
Maybe you and your incredibly creative self could use the broken pieces for something? Maybe?
Long days. I hear ya, my friend.
I think you should go with both the laughing and the crying... but probably avoid beating the 2 year old. Not the best in the long run. :)
sorry hon. I UNDERSTAND. I'm pretty sure I can safely say... that all of us have had days like that.
